ULTIMATE SPORTS QUIZ UPDATE:
Firstly many congratulations to the Dublin Mens & Ladies teams on winning their respective Football championships – many congrats to the Dubs Captain, James McCarthy – a staunch Ballymun Kickhams man & also our 4 other stars, John & Paddy Small, Evan Comerford & Dean Rock – you’ve made our Club very proud.
And then Hello to all our quiz predictors & supporters – this is our 2nd update for our 2023 Sports Quiz – 11 competitions have now reached their finale & we now have just 7 events left to take place to bring the Quiz to a conclusion.
The 7 events to come are the following sports events – Rugby World Cup, Solheim & Ryder Cups, FAI Mens & WomensCups & then finally Dublin Football & Hurling Championships.
As previously advised we have had 168 entries & the Prize Fund will be 1700 euro.
We have 31 entries that have 5 correct answers out of 11 – there are another 20 entries with 6 correct answers & we have 6 leading entries who have 7 correct answers.
Without doubt the 4 Golf predictions proved to be very difficult & only John Rahm, winner of the Masters event, proved to be the only correct prediction for the 4 events.
As for the 6 leaders with 7 correct answers – well done to Amy Leonard & Paula Lee, who were correct with their 7GAA predictions for all the provincial & All Ireland winners & then congrats also to David Lynch, Gerry Staunton, Jim Deignan & Ronan Noonan who got 6 out of 7 right, but also had John Rahm as their winner of the Masters.
So as you can see it is very tight at the top – all to play for & best of luck to everybody for the last 7 events.
More Updates to come.
Finally & once again many thanks to you all for your support.

What an achievement in the modern day to provide 6 wonderful and vital players to Dublin’s quest for 5-in -a row. Kickhams should be so proud of these gentlemen you helped nurture and who are part of GAA history. Well done to all their mentors and families for being a huge part of who they are .Ballymun stands out head and shoulders above all in their contribution to this amazing milestone.

Ladies team over looked again , the ladies team were the first official fixture !
Overlooked again? When were you overlooked before? And I’m not a mind reader, I need to be told these things before I can report them. As a club we are all inclusive and have no preference for any gender, creed, colour or sexuality etc.
Come on the Mun! This group of players deserves much more success.
